    The change of eras makes that difficult. Johnny Evers has a really low OPS rating. He played in the age of scratching for singles, though. I'd think Mazeroski would be one of the stronger candidates for that. Almost certainly it would be a 2B or a CF.

    Apparently, if you want to be pedantic, Walter Alston was a first baseman who did not get a hit in his only at bat, although I think he got in more as the manager of the Dodgers than as a player...

    Among actual position players, it might be Harmon Killebrew at .256.

    yea, I'll disagree with you there. Killebrew put up a career 143 OPS+. 7th all-time in HRs.
