• automated closed captioning has a way to go

was watching highlights of the LSU-Tennessee baseball game and an LSU player tried to bunt but popped it in the air for an out. The captioning said "beam a steak". I hadn't heard it 'cause I had the sound off so I had to figure out what that really was. "
Big mistake". But I kind of like "beam a steak" as a new expression.

That automated captioning had food on its "mind" because later the game went to "the bottom of the knife".

My spouse and I watch cc, but only do automatic captions for YouTube. For YouTube, it’s been pretty good.
