    Went to a get-together my wife wanted to attend, in association
    with an Art Education conference. I listened to a bunch of cringeworthy discussions of the kind I have gladly missed since she retired. We
    escaped after 90 minutes of uncomfortable mingling.

    Snippets of conversation included, "Have you decolonized or
    decanonized anything?" "We focused on the lived experience of lesbian
    single moms whose phenonomenological pedagogy improved the learning
    climate for their students."
