    :-)

I think Manchester Utd would like to keep their winning run going. I
don't see them winning the League, but they wouldn't want to take their
foot off the pedal just in case the two teams above them did slip up... unlikely, but you never know...

Told you. It was clear from the start that we would have trouble keeping
the pace up this game. Still 7 p ahead of the chaser.

There's always going to be a difference between a Champions League,
    and a Europa League, team.

With spurs spursing things up (I think Nicol used an expression like
that) and the Novocastrians running out of steam, a top 4 place suddenly doesn't look that unrealistic for LFC. Except their defending still
looks awfully suspect. United were gifted too many chances in this game.

With 36 goals against, Spurs too seem to have a defending problem. And
United suddenly look pretty shoddy at 35 against.
Never really thought of Eddie Howe as an expert in defending properly
when he coached Bournemouth, but clearly he knows something, or Botman, Lascelles, and Schär are much better than I thought they were.

I'm probably the least affected. Look at the Liverpudlians go! They're like children at christmas.

I saw it like it was. Steam evaporating after a series of seriously
important games and like 20 games of success, when Liverpool got the 2nd.
And then everything bounced Liverpool's way. And for them this game was
    about EPL/UCL life or death.

You're right, it wasn't such a big deal, considering that this is the third time United have been positively thrashed this season :-)
