    And incredibly dumb too. The gave away 2 goals as freebies. The first was because of a foul which the defender got suckered into by Messi... and the second was the Aussie goalkeeper thinking of himself as Messi.

    Both teams have been guilty of bad back passes, but the keeper really got himself into a spot of bother with too many touches. No Messi style needed for this goal.

    2-0 and Argentina will play the Dutchmen in the QF.

    I thought Netherlands looked very good against the USA! Significantly better than Argentina did against Australia. Judging by this performance Netherlands are good enough to win the World Cup aren't they? I also thought the 2nd half was a pretty evenly
    balanced (half a ) game; which, with the Netherlands playing that well, has got to be a good sign for the USA hasn't it?

    As for Argentina, they didn't look as good as the Netherlands. They're going to have to be at their peak to win the quarter-final aren't they? And why isn't Franco Armani playing for Argentina?
