Very smart of FIFA to put Switzerland matches in the early slot. Good way to make sure fans on this side of the pond get some extra hours of sleep even if they woke up early.

I didn't think it was a bad game, despite the ugly uniforms.

    LOL

It wasn’t awful until the Swiss goal, then Switzerland just contained Cameroon in the most boring way imaginable. Cameroon just as much at fault for some frankly docile play with no sense of urgency even when a goal down with only minutes left.

My first World Cup match was Cameroon v Argentina in 1990, which was wonderful but has also set me up for a lifetime of disappointment at performances like this.

With Serbia and Brazil to come it feels like Cameroon are out already.

I didn't watch that game, but can it have been worse than this URU-KOR
    game?
Yes this was pretty boring... very few chances the whole game... Is this the worst Uruguay squad in recent times?

ZERO shots on goal all game!

A bit unluckily, because Uruguay hit the posts twice.

Penaldo opened the score after winning a soft-ish penalty. Ghana equalized immediately afterwards with Andre Ayew, and when it looked as if they were on course for a glorious comeback, they were quickly punished by two counterattacks. Nice finishes by
Joao Felix and Leao. Ronaldo did not look happy that he didn't get to add to his tally.

And now Ghana pulls one back with Bukari, who celebrates with Ronaldo's trademark Siiiuuu. Ronaldo, just subbed off, did not look happy.

Nine minutes injury time for Ghana to equalize

Shouldn't that be SUI-CMR? Or am I just being pedantic?

Why were Cameroon playing in the wrong colour shorts? If there's only the shorts that are the same colour as those of the other team there's no need to change surely? And if it is deemed enough to require a change, why not change the whole kit? I can't
see the point of changing part of the kit, but not all of it.

Pretty evenly balanced game anyway. Switzerland possibly just about deserved the win.

From the FIFA World Cup regulations:

"In principle, each team shall wear its official team kit as declared on the team
colour form. If the two teams’ colours might cause confusion, the host team shall be entitled to wear its official team kit and the visiting team shall use its
reserve team kit or, if necessary, a combination of the official and the reserve
    team kits."

Given the above, as you suggest you would have thought Cameroon would have worn their away kit, although the regulations allow them to mix and match the two kits if necessary.

I agree Cameroon looked strange in green shirts and shorts with yellow socks, they looked like they were wearing a Senegal away kit. Furthermore, the choice meant both teams were wearing their "dark" kits, which I understand is frowned upon as it
    adversely impacts colour blind viewers.
