Werner is out of the WC. Lo Celso would play some games only if
Argentina advances and he decides to screw up his whole future career.
Varane is still injuried, and Dechamps has stated he won't take injured
    players to the WC.

I have not a good feeling about this...

Maybe Giroud will get a last hurrah !

Which players from each scout's selections over the years are most
likely going to the WC if nothing bad happens in the next two weeks ?
    Who has the most ?

    For me:

    Cycle 1

LLoris. Still number 1 and a world cup winner.
Muniain - only 29, but an extreme longshot to be selected.

    Cycle 2

Alba and Giroud, though long in the tooth, both might still go. Not at
    all sure. Both WC winners.

    Cycle 3

Shaw, Digne, Goretzka, Laporte might all be picked, but only Gorezka is
highly likely I would say. Laporte has been injured a lot.

Cycle 4. Only Tolisso and Stark in contention, and neither is at all
    likely.

    Cycle 5:

    T. Hazard, Dendoncker, Tielemans, and maybe Praet for Belgium
Henrichs an outside chance for Germany
    Pickford for England.

    Cycle 6.
Maybe Klostermann, with Koch even less likely for Germany
Maignan for France but won't normally play
    Ikone a remote possibility.

    Cycle 7
Nico Williams has a chance for Spain. Vanzeir an extreme long shot

I have not a good feeling about this...

    For me:

Cycle 1: Mueller should be a lock
Cycle 2: Casemiro should be a lock, Walker if he's recovered from injury
Cycle 3: We don't talk about Cycle 3 (Marquinhos a lock, Pogba out due to injury)
Cycle 4: Kane a lock, Kante depending on fitness. Gunter has a shout. Inaki Williams will represent Ghana :-(
Cycle 5: Rodri and Pope are locks (but the latter won't play much), Abraham maybe, Kimpembe likely to miss because of injury
Cycle 6: Slim pickings: Antony and Matheus
Cycle 7: Maybe a bit more, but not that many starters

Nice question! I'm going to embarass myself by showing how little I know.

(I am not including the Brazilian, since the squad is official by now.)

    Cycle 1: -

Cycle 2: Varane in doubt because of the injury

Cycle 3: we talk about cycle 3. ter Stegen, Carvajal?, Koke, Klaassen, Suele

Cycle 4: Dybala, Gaya?, Ziyech ;), van Dijk, Areola

    Cycle 5: Upamecano, Calvert-Lewin?, Lo Celso, Alexander-Arnold

Cycle 6: Neuhaus?, Moukoko?, Kounde?, Musiala, Badiashile?

    Min (Weaufx Gods, please look away): 5 Brazilians + 12 = 17

    Max (WG, please read Futbolmetrix' post... again): 17 + 7 = 24

    Cheat: 24 + Ziyech = 25

I may be one player short of a full squad!

Nice question! I'm going to embarass myself by showing how little I know.

    Let's see how I fared:

(I am not including the Brazilian, since the squad is official by now.)

    Cycle 1: -

Cycle 2: Varane in doubt because of the injury

    Nobody expected Goetze.

Cycle 3: we talk about cycle 3. ter Stegen, Carvajal?, Koke, Klaassen,
    Suele

    Correct.

Cycle 4: Dybala, Gaya?, Ziyech ;), van Dijk, Areola

    Correct.

    Cycle 5: Upamecano, Calvert-Lewin?, Lo Celso, Alexander-Arnold

I forgot about Lo Celso's injury, even though I had posted about it a
    few days earlier.

Cycle 6: Neuhaus?, Moukoko?, Kounde?, Musiala, Badiashile?

Neuhaus injured. Kounde and Badiashile didn't make it (typical France
not calling up players picked by an Italian...).

    Min (Weaufx Gods, please look away): 5 Brazilians + 12 = 17

    Max (WG, please read Futbolmetrix' post... again): 17 + 7 = 24

    24 + Goetze - (Lo Celso + Neuhaus + Kounde + Badiashile) = 21

Twenty-one benchwarmers, but it's better than twenty benchwarmers.
