15 days to go to the Cup, it's #15's turn in the spotlight now.

It's probably fair to start with Spain's Sergio Ramos, who was also the
player who wore it for most World Cups (4, from 2006 to 2018), winning it
in 2010. France's Lilian Thuram is another #15 heavyweight, having used it
in three World Cups (1998 to 2006), making the final in two of these and winning one.

#15 also was the first World Cup squad number of Michel Platini (1978), Paulo Roberto Falcão (1982), Robert Prosinecki and Roberto Baggio (1990).

The number's top goalscorer is Ottmar Walter, brother of Germany's legendary captain Fritz Walter, with his four goals scored in the 1954 World Cup. There is also a father and son relation: Archie Gemmill wore #15 for Scotland in 1978 and, 20 years later, his son Scot was assigned to it as well.

So, there you have it. Next to come, #14!

    Best regards,
