• Best time for South American team (Brazil or Argentina) to win World Cu

From LedZep IgaSwanTech@21:1/5 to All on Sat Nov 5 10:07:49 2022
Argentina won it last in 1986. They have two World Cups (1978, 1986)
Brazil won it last in 2002. They have five World Cups (1958, 1962, 1970, 1994, 2002)

Uruguay won it back in 1930 and 1950 but they are no longer a footballing power (at least someone with a capability to win it)

Its been a while for a South American team to win it. This seems the same. Both Brazil and Argentina are loaded with talents and in fact their respective coaches are struggling to pick the squad (so many options!)

European teams are however not doing that well (England got relegated in Nations league, France finished third in their group and barely avoided relegation, Germany too finished only third). And Italy did not even qualify! That leaves Spain who did win
their group and are in the Nations league finals... but they are a young team.

If not England, France, Germany or Spain which other European team can win it... tiny nations like Croatia, Wales, Serbia, Denmark or Switzerland? Or serial chokers Netherlands or Belgium? Or under-performers Portugal... or a big dumb nation like Poland?

The European nations look weak this time. And African or Asian or North American teams are not really that good to actually win the whole thing. So the best chance for Brazil or Argentina to win it all!

Yeah, I think so too. I'm going with Brazil for the FIFA World Cup
    2022...
