We've renamed it Use-the-NT, a far superior competition.

People have less interest in the group stage of UCL. It’s soccer at its worst. The expectations are very high, given the budgets of the main participants. Yet, the quality of the show is low.

So, people are waiting for the knockout stage. That’s when the season of the “European Super League (ESL)” starts. The competition is tighter, the quality of the show rises.

The ESL might have some misfits come European Spring 2023. A budget is a budget. So, there is no place for the likes of Bruges, or Salzburg. Gosh, Donetsk can be in the ESL only by the powers of the European Union and NATO. After all, they succeeded in
keeping Moscow out of the fray, as it were. Ain’t it so, Frau?

We aren't. There are the usual sophisticated prediction and use the NT competitions going on, and some discussion.

I have seen very few games due to teaching schedule and stuff. Next few
rounds I should be able to watch.

Nice to see lower budget teams like Bruges and Maccabi holding their
own, but for the most part it is far too predictable. Some teams,
especially now 5 subs is with us (for good?) using a lot of the matches
    as training exercises.

I know people go on about "playing at the highest level" when talking
about the UCL, and players agitating to move clubs so they can "play CL football_ like that was something magical. But so much of it is anti-climactic at the group stage level. Why would you even let star
players play even close to 90 minutes once it is clear you are through
to the next phase ? So allowing for injuries, substitutions, being
rested in unimportant games, suspensions, and getting knocked out before
the semi-finals, how many minutes do these agitating players (who may
not even be first 11 material at the top clubs) actually get to play in
    this competition.

Right now the various leagues are more interesting, except perhaps for
    in France.

The 2nd half of the Barca v Inter game was quite good and between two "top teams". Though it was not a match between two top teams that I think will win it all, neither of them are their anymore, even though both have recently won it.
