    What, no thread for the Copa Sudamericana Final?

    What went wrong for Sao Paulo? There were a few dodgy refereeing decisions that went against them, eg they possibly should have had a penalty about 6 minutes before half-time, but Independiente Del Valle looked the better team.

    I watched just some bits. São Paulo were timid and still could have gotten into the game if Calleri wasn't missing some chances he usually doesn't.

    I tried to watch the last 20 minutes, just to find out that it was broadcast on Conmebol TV, which is PPV (at least over here). I couldn't see the point of that,
    honestly, but c'est la vie.

    So, all I can say is that yet again Copa Sudamericana final was played before a
    half-empty stadium. They should bring back the two-legged finals. And congratulations
    to Independiente del Valle for their second Copa Sudamericana title (one won over
    an Argentinian club and the other over a Brazilian one). Hats off.
