Come on New Zealand! Oceania deserves at least 1 team at the World Cup! It makes absolutely no sense for any confederation not to have even 1 berth!

But wait Oceania already has the Aussies.

Like yesterday with Peru, Costa Rica are solid favourites, so hopefully they can learn something from yesterdays match. But CONCACAF teams tend to Rock a lot more than CONMEBOL teams, so they will not be overly cautious, cus that is not how we do things
    in CONCACAF.

    Heh.

Costa Rica is at least on the way. Early goal, and they're up 1-0 on New Zealand in the 12th minute.

    check.
We already are projecting Costa Rica to win the Qatar World Cup.

And I can see why it was not called live.

But clear foul (could've even been cardable!).

    1-0 Costa Rica, basically halftime.

Though I’m supporting Costa Rica I have to say that since the goal New Zealand have looked the better side.

They have, but a rightful VAR wipe-off leaves the match 1-0 to Costa Rica.

I don't see it staying that way, however. New Zealand has had far too much play deep in Costa Rica's end for another goal not to be scored.

Different match from yesterday, both teams going for it. Can see New Zealand getting one back-or giving up a counter attack goal-the way it is going.

Why am I getting the feeling that, if this match ends 1-0 to Costa Rica, the New Zealand coach is going to take a massive ban for decking this referee?

OK, THIS MATCH IS A FIX.

Referee lets a red-card elbow to the head go and then books the New Zealand captain for the dissent coming afterward.

I think it's clear who FIFA wants to advance here, and it ain't fucking New Zealand.

And New Zealand gave them the excuse two minutes before ignoring the elbow to the head by going studs and having one of theirs sent off.

    Congratulations Costa Rica.

So including the UEFA playoff the other week I’ve watched three of this year’s qualifying playoffs and I can’t help but think that the less deserving team won on each occasion. Really think they should go back to two leg playoffs, less chance of
the poorer team getting lucky on the night.

That might help, but speaking as a CONCAFian again, nobody wants to go to Central America to play a WC qualifier, let alone play off.

I would start being very careful in this World Cup, people, if you look at your country's matches and see a Middle Eastern bloc of officials.

I shut off the match after it was clear that not only did FIFA Blatter New Zealand, but then New Zealand gave the fix plausible deniability with the sending off.

Why are they being played as a single match? Is this because of the Covid 19 pandemic and all the delays that's caused?
