    Initial thought is Liverpud wins easily vs the Old-timers, but then the Oldtimers have this knack of snatching victory from the jaws of defeat.

    Looking only at your posted results, with no other reference, it looks like Real has been the better team for the past 7-8 years.

    Iam gonna go with the logic of the past 8 years and bet the house on Madrid.

    What I do know is that when I think of European football and teams who've been in European finals, the kind of big match atmosphere that only a European final between two big teams can create, these two teams pretty much epitomise that.

    Agree with your analysis, in terms of talent and tactics Liverpool should have enough to win but Real Madrid keep pulling out these almost miracle level comebacks and you have to wonder whether that might give Real a self belief that gets them over the
    line.

    I'm not usually one to cheer for the big sides but hey - it's Liverpool v Real Madrid in the European Cup final - it doesn't get much better than this?

    Agree with your analysis, in terms of talent and tactics Liverpool should have enough to win but Real Madrid keep pulling out these almost miracle level comebacks and you have to wonder whether that might give Real a self belief that gets
    them over the line.

    I'm not usually one to cheer for the big sides but hey - it's Liverpool v Real Madrid in the European Cup final - it doesn't get much better than this?

    And I redouble this concern on the goal they actually GAVE for the 0-1.

    By the "obstructing ability to play the ball by line of vision", the goal they gave for the 0-1 was probably more offside than the one they took away!

    Should be a clear 0-2 already. Liverpool's back defense is shambolic.

    The keeper was ahead of the ball, so only one defender back, thus offside. The actual goal they gave may have been offside, but i assume VAR checked it and it wasn't

    That's not the stink -- many people felt an effort to tackle the ball in the box by Liverpool was a deliberate play (which negates offside) vs. a deflection (which is not and what the VAR called).

    Exactly. The ball went from Benzema, touched by a few Liverpool players then back to Benzema. No other Madrid player even touched the ball. Even if it was a "deflection", it was a "deflection" off a pass from Benzema to himself. How can you be offside
    passing to yourself?

    Liverpool. With Paris SG, it is quite simple...

    Real-Paris, this goal from Benzema is allowed.

    Liverpool were very good, but not good enough to beat Courtois who produced a goalkeeping masterpiece.
    Then in the second half Real woke up. (I understand that's more or less how they've played all season.) They pounced once on a quick action and it was enough. (Again with the invaluable help of Courtois.)
