• Re: WM 2022-Qualifikation finale

From Binder Dundat@21:1/5 to Moriarty on Tue Jun 7 11:08:17 2022
The final game of Asian qualifying to see who will meet Peru for the final spot- well except for the New Zealand v Costa Rica game or games- has just kicked off. UAE v Aussie a one off match played in Qatar, which seems a bit unfair for Aussie, then
again, I just assume Peru will beat either.

going to ET, except that I can see at least one or two going to ET. There is no Pharaoh curse in Senegal, I can see that tie going to ET, I could also see Ghana v Nigeria going to ET, though they would have to 0-0 it due to the away goals rule.
Ghana qualifies on the away goal rule.

Senegal-Egypt has gone to extra time, 10 minutes left before penalty kicks? (Has there ever been a case where a spot to the world cup has been determined by a PK shootout?)
At least one. Australia vs Uruguay for a spot in the 2006 WC. Both legs finished 1-0 to the home side.

    UAE 0 - 0 Aus HT
I did not know that Big Phil Scolari was manager of the Aussie national team.

The guy does have a vague resemblance to Felipão.
Half watching this. Australia seems to be a bit better, but UAE are not pushovers.

Aussie scoring late in the game after it seemed it was going to ET. UAE got maybe 10 mins to tie it up
