It helps that Sweden are already eliminated, and Belgium very confident that they can beat Azerbaijan at home.

That seems like the fairest and most logical decision/

I guess that might matter a fair bit for the seeding? What is the
likelihood of a fairly strong team ending in pot 4 because they qualify
through playoffs (could still happen with Italy or the Netherlands in
    theory, yes ?)

I guess that might matter a fair bit for the seeding?

Which one do you mean? For EURO 2026?

    2024

If Belgium win the group, and they're still a lock, it won't matter.
I guess it probably has a minuscule effect on the FIFA ranking and therefore the seeding for WCQ 2028.

    2026

Pretty high, but it's more likely those two will end up in Pot 3 (which currently looks stronger than Pot 2 - NED, SRB, ITA, CRO vs ALB, TUR, SUI, SCO)

I meant if Belgium don't win vs/ Azerbaijan, Austria can still take
first, no ? And with it seeding in pot 1 ?

Yes, that's why I wrote that Belgium will be very confident they can beat Azerbaijan at home (and rightly so).
If they manage to do that, the draw against Sweden doesn't matter one bit.
