Why did Kelley O'Hara come on as a substitute so close to the end of extra-time, and then take the 7th penalty as opposed to 1 of the first 5?

Weren't USA playing in the wrong colour shorts? They normally play in blue shorts don't they?

USA were probably the best team. I didn't think either team played particularly well though. Did the tension just get to them or what?

So Sweden were the team that ended the USA's record of having reached the Final of every Olympics. Now they're the team that have ended the USA's record of having reached the semi-final of every World Cup!

shoot-out...

Rapinoe laughing after she missed her penalty (she didn't even get it on target, and she's supposedly a top player) was a bit weird too. Usually
players are distraught when they miss a penalty in a shoot-out! I know
some people handle emotions differently but it didn't look good.

As an example of women's football, and bearing in mind they are two of
the best women's national teams in the world, it was a very bad advert.
It was very dull to watch.
