Sevilla with most of the ball and some good chances, a couple of brilliant saves by Szczeszny, but Juve has been dangerous on the other end too. Di Maria wasted the biggest chance of the game because he doesn't
have a proper right foot. Cuadrado let off the hook in the final minute - a reckless challenge right on the edge of the penalty area, which the ref thought was not a foul, and VAR thought was just outside.

Honestly, I'd have given both penalties, Fagioli's handball too.

It's going to be a long second half.

    Bayer - Roma 0-0 (agg: 0-1)

Roma purely defending and time-wasting. So far it works.

More Sevilla pressure, and Rabiot misses another 1v1 at the other end. Di Maria absolutely awful.

Elsewhere, Basel ties it up on the night, back in front on aggregate.

    Vlahovic.

and now Suso ties it up. 1-1, 2-2 on aggregate. Juve pays for its inability to clear its lines against Sevilla's gegenpressing.

If I've counted correctly this has been Sevilla's 48th knock-out tie in the UEFA Cup / Europa League

    HT scores:

Roma purely d efending and time-wasting. So far it works.

Everytime I'm switching to that match a Roma player is writhing on the ground in agony.

    8 minutes stoppage time

Quite easily defended, and Roma reach the final without having scored a single goal away from home
    in the knock-out stages.
    Has that ever happened before?

    Ciao,
    Werner
    Lamela, 2-1 Sevilla
    Extra time HT:
    Sevilla - Juve 2-1 (agg: 3-2)
    Basel- Fiorentina 1-2 (agg. 3-3)
Livescore has Basel-Fiorentina at the 199' minute, while it's minute 114 in Sevilla. Chiesa missed a good chance
Acuna second yellow for time wasting. Dutch ref Makkelie almost pulled off a Graham Poll
Shockingly, Sevilla still pressing high up the pitch to disrupt Juve's buildup. I thought that you had to defend deep in your own box when defending a lead
    FT: Sevilla-Juventus 2-1

    Football sucks, Allegri sucks.

120+10': Barak puts Fiorentina up 3-1 on the night and on aggregate

    FT: Basel - Fiorentina 1-3.

    So,
    UEL final: Roma - Sevilla
UECL final: West Ham - Fiorentina

Italian teams still with an excellent chance of completing the treble.

Yes, everybody is in awe of Guardiola's wonderteam, but he has a tendency to overthink things in finals, and Inter has been running on all cylinders in the last month or so. This smells a lot like an upset.

    Sevilla - Roma: 40% - 60%
Yes, it's the Europa League, and everything goes the right way for Sevilla, including Lamela thumping headers. But you have Mourinho on the other end.

    West Ham - Fiorentina: 50%-50%
    Meh, whatever.

Manchester City all the way. Internazionale can be dangerous but I
think Man City will just be too strong for them. Anything other than a
Man City win would surprise me. But we all know how Champions League
Finals can take an unexpected turn don't we?!!! I'll say 2-0 Manchester
    City.

Sevilla for me. If Roma score they could spend the rest of the game
parking the bus. Sevilla play really good football though and they
should be able to out-play that Roma team. Not a high scoring game
methinks, 1-0 either way, but my money would be on Sevilla.

    West Ham - Fiorentina: 50%-50%

Yeah, can't say I care much either. I think Fiorentina could edge it
    though.

Inter just bagged the Coppa Italia by beating Fiorentina 2-1 in the final. Two first half goals by Lautaro after they had fallen behind in the 2nd minute.

They just cannot stop winning. Lautaro is in the best form of his career, and Lukaku seems to have gone back to his 2020-2021 self.

City is in big, big trouble.

Great, if they go on and and win the Champions League they might be
able to afford to buy that lazy lump and stop him returning to us in
    July!

City is in big, big trouble.

Can we quote you on that in June?

Not since the days of Brehme, Lothar and Jurgen can I think of the days when I wanted Inter to win, yet I do.

Do you really think he is lazy? I think he has muscled up far too much
since his Everton days, and is now kind of lumbering, and takes too long
to get in motion. But I never felt his attitude looked lazy. (unlike
    eg. Pogba or Balotelli)

Then again how many attacking players has Chelsea tried and found
wanting since the days of Drogba ? Diego Costa was good for a while
then dumped. None of Werner, Havertz, Pulisic, Zyech, Abraham,
Sterling, Mudryk, and others really panned out all that well so far,
maybe because none of them were given enough of a consistent run in the
    team.

City is in big, big trouble.

Lazy, slow, lumbering... whatever you want to term it. They say the
main problem Tuchel had with him was he wasn't making the runs and by
the time he did, the defence had covered the space. I saw him play
three times (in the flesh) that season and he didn't do a lot in those
games if I'm being honest. Now, Lukaku might say he was unhappy with
the service that he was getting and he clearly didn't really like
Tuchel's tactics either. There's always two sides to every story. But
on the days I saw him I wasn't impressed and if he returns to Chelsea I
think it would be a backward step... but then again, with a different
manager with fresh ideas, who knows?!
