Playing well in the league in the first half of the season in order to concentrate
on a cup run in the second half of the season suddenly no longer good enough? The obvious lesson here is to never create expectations you can't meet.

More seriously, it's obvious Glasner would have liked much more of a say regarding transfers, and that was never going to fly with the Eintracht board. I think it was a similar issue in Wolfsburg.
He might eventually get the position he wants somewhere in England.

There is a time and place for craziness, like at a cottage or wedding or in church, but not for picks with 3 games to go. So it seems only Bochum fear relegation, it is like the other teams want to go down.

Werder need one more point to be absolutely certain of staying up.

Meanwhile in the 2nd div, all will be revealed tomorrow.

Darmstadt and Heidenheim lost, while HSV won (big). So Darmstadt still
needs 2 points to be relegated, and Heidenheim is only a single point
ahead. On the other hand, HSV can still drop to 6th.

In liga 3, Elversberg still hasn't been promoted, despite having been
on the verge of it for ages.

Promoted from the Regionalliga are Münster and Lübeck. Ulm is
close. Unterhaching qualified for a playoff against (most likely)
Cottbus. Provided Unterhaching can get their finances sorted.

Sandhausen (after eleven nondescript seasons, except for that one game against HSV - incidentally, there'll be a repeat of that fixture on the last matchday this year)
and Jahn Regensburg (after six seasons with a continuous downward trend)
    very likely to get relegated.

In liga 3, Elversberg still hasn't been promoted, despite having been
on the verge of it for ages.

Just three wins in their last thirteen, and four defeats in their last six. Promotion jitters? Much like Werder, just one more point should do the
    trick.

    With two rounds to go:

    Elversberg 70
Freiburg II 67 (can't be promoted)
    Dynamo Dresden 66
    Wehen Wiesbaden 66
    1. FC Saarbrücken 65
    VfL Osnabrück 64

Bayreuth will go straight back down, and Zwickau will follow after six
seasons. Former mainstays Meppen (who already got a last-second reprieve
two years ago when Uerdingen went bankrupt) and Oldenburg likely to follow.

Promoted from the Regionalliga are Münster and Lübeck.

Because HSV II didn't want to get promoted, for what I read were mostly financial reasons clothed into non-financial arguments.

Ulm is close. Unterhaching qualified for a playoff against (most likely) Cottbus. Provided Unterhaching can get their finances sorted.

Really! What did they do with the Adeyemi money?

I dont know if I had a weird dream about Mario Basler, but I think I heard or read something last night about him playing in a game and scoring, granted I was tired from watching 12 periods of ice hockey and consuming Italian Gin and Polish Vodka, but
anyway, in the 2nd div, it is official, Darmstadt is back in the 1st div (think they went down to the 2nd div the same year with HSV?). HSV is at least going to make the play off, I cant see the other teams making up the GD. Heidenheim should win today,
but are 0-0 with last place Sandhausen, so HSV may even make 2nd place and direct re-entry. Even Schalke would beat Sandhausen!

So Heidenheim get the win and keep up their hopes of direct promotion, they play the 2nd last place team in the final match, so nothing could possibly go wrong. Meanwhile in the WWEpl, Mr. Lilly White has changed his name to Mr. Glenda Gunner.
