• What happened to Alden?

From Ken Cooperstein@21:1/5 to All on Sat Dec 26 08:36:04 2020
Been away from rowing for over 15 years and it appears that the Alden I knew for parts, etc. is no more, with several vendors using the name but not naming themselves as the builder.

    Anyone know the story?

    Ken

Alden is alive and well, being managed by Gary Piantedosi OLY.

    Hope that helps,

So this is my understanding of the operation but I may be wrong.
Gary Piantedosi bought Alden and was also building drop in units and SUP units. The boat building piece stopped for a few years for whatever reason and Gary continued on with the drop in units etc. Last year (2020) a new builder was found and has now
delivered the first hulls I believe to Adirondack Rowing who are dealing with the selling of the Alden I believe on behalf of Gary.
