2006-2008: Hillgrove, Ilkin, Wolfley, Ellis Cannon (pregame, halftime, and postgame from game sites), WDVE

Mark May filled in for a game in 1994 when Myron lost his wife; Myron's health gave out in '04 wihich caused him to miss two games; his last appearance in the booth was after his retirement. October 31, 2005 against the Ravens; he sat in for the third
quarter on Myron Cope Night, but his voice wasn't up to broadcast standard. There was talk that he would call Super Bowl XL as a final retirement present, but he developed pneumonia and was forbidden to travel to Detroit (good thing; it was absolutely
    brutal weatherwise.)

    Preseason:

1978: Sam Nover, Andy Russell, WIIC-11
    1981(?): Nover, Dwight White, WPXI-11
1985-1986: Stan Savran, Jack Ham, WTAE-4
    1987-1997(?): Nover, Ham- WPXI
1998: John Steigerwald, Ham, Bob Pompeani- KDKA-2
    1999: Pompeani, Ham, Steigerwald- KDKA
2000-2005: Pompeani, Edmund Nelson, Jeff Verszyla- KDKA
2006-2008: Pompeani, Nelson, Verszyla- KDKA (FSN Pittsburgh simulcasts)

    Notes:

I think that Russell also did '79 and '80, but I'm not sure.

Rocky Bleier almost had to be involved between '81 and '84; he was a vey high profile hire for Channell 11. But I don't think he worked in the booth; he might have been the sideline reporter.

I think Ilkin may have replaced Ham at some point in the 90s for Channel 11, but I'm not sure when.

Verszyla isn't a sportscaster; he's the backup meteorologist for KDKA. That's nothing; our top female news anchor (she's been at WTAE for over thirty years) travels to all the road Monday night games (Channel 4 remains the OTA Monday night station in
town, even after ABC lost the rights) and is a featured reporter for the Monday night pregame show both home and away. Don't laugh; she knows the Steelers better than a lot of the men do. Then again, those who don't get to know the Steelers (and now the
Penguins) in a hurry don't last around here very long!

Houston Oilers (based purely on recollection, if anyone can correct, go ahead):

1971-82 Ron Franklin & Ron Stone KTRH-AM, statewide over the Texas State Network from 1978-82
1983 Jerry Trupiano & Wally Lemm KTRH-AM (TSN dropped them in favor of the Cowboys, don't know how long that lasted, if any Cowboy fans do please speak up)
    1984 Trupiano & Giff Nielsen KTRH-AM
    1985-87 Trupiano & Nielsen KODA-FM
1988 Trupiano & Don Trull KODA-FM (Note: As a TV sportscaster Nielsen criticized Jerry Glanville in an editorial and was removed from the team broadcasts)
    1989 Steve Fallon & Trull KODA-FM
    1990-91 Tom Franklin, John O'Reilly & Bum Phillips KTRH-AM & KLOL-FM
    1992-93 Franklin, Phillips & Russ Small KTRH-AM
