• New event in Maine for blind XC skiers

From Lew Lasher@21:1/5 to All on Tue Dec 22 18:54:24 2015
Maine Adaptive Sports and Recreation is having a new event for blind/visually-impaired cross-country skiers, February 7-11, 2016. This adds to their current program for blind alpine skiers, NEVI (New England Visually Impaired) Fest, which they've had for
several years. The new "Nordic NEVI Fest" event includes skiing to, and staying overnight, at one of the huts on the Maine Hut Trail; as well as skiing on groomed trails at the Sugarloaf XC center.

Maine Adaptive also has other programs for mobility-impaired cross-country skiers.

I have signed up to be a volunteer with Maine Adaptive, specifically so that I can be a guide skier at Nordic NEVI Fest.
