Yo Al, how's it going? Just retired and heading to the
Philippines to go diving.

I could retire now, but still having fun building 'death rays' ;-)
Finally got out to Maui's Molokini Crater for a couple of
dives last fall; here's the link to a short video (note:

Or right-click and save on this:

Nice video!
"You will always have the wrong lens."
I think the vertical jitter might be the post processing. These days
the anti-shake processing can take out most vibration and shake on the
video but some frequencies still get through. I played it as a local
file and it had no stutter but did have a bit of jitter on the manta
swimming at the 1:30 mark along with a little auto-focus trouble due
to the camera trying to make sense of the image.
I presume that people here are aware, but just in case, Mike Gray, El Stroko Guapo, passed away of a particularly agressive form of cancer a while back. My delay in mentioning this is because. I did not have access here until very recently. Mike wasburried with military honors in West Palm Beach. Ed Tichner, Deborah Gary O and I were all able to attend the funeral.
Of all the friends I've made through diving and on line, Mike. was one of the best. When I was in the hospital in 2011, Mike actually drove down and read electronic books to me for hours because I could not hold my iPhone myself. I'll miss Mike a lot,and remember him forever.
It's been forever but I just happen to think about you guys
this morning. Ah the good old days of the endless DIR debates
and Spare Death discussions.
Capt. Bill
