• hard pressed to run, after Super Slow workout

From David Mullin@21:1/5 to All on Sun Jul 23 17:17:48 2017
I'm hard pressed to run, after Super Slow workout,
20 seconds of weight up, 20 down on my leg machines,
    leaves me hardpressed to run,
    feel the burn.

AFAIK, it is not really a good idea to do weights
and running on the same day. However, I cannot say
much more since I do not do any weight lifting.
(Well at least not in a gym. Lots of lifting
    at home doing yard work.)

So Are you a novice runner? Or more experienced?

Short distances (5k, 10k) or longer (half, full marathon)?

Either way, better results come IMHO when you
    enjoy the run!

    Is there a question there?

Do you have a regular training plan for your races?
(I am assuming you mean you run 5k and 10k races.)

I am training to lose weight and to get back even a
little of the speed I once had. Basically I am back
    to being a beginner.

But long term I want to get back to longer distances,
    half and full marathons.

    Enjoy the run,

I really dislike using weights or machines. I just enjoy running outdoors.
Had a nice run yesterday morning. I felt like I was flying (though the
    clock said otherwise 8^)

    Enjoy the run!

Trying to work out whether you have any interest in running or whether
