• Apropos of nothing...

From Richard Bannister@21:1/5 to All on Sun May 2 03:56:54 2021
In the spirit of first world problems, it is now over 30 weeks since my last theme park visit, and I have no plans at the moment. This is the longest I've gone without a roller coaster in living memory.

The one worthwhile park in my country is not open, international travel without an "essential purpose" is against the law, and in any case I've no desire to put myself at risk until I've been vaccinated – and it's not at all clear when that will be.

    Strange times.

Out of all the strange things this past year:

    - Watching some of my favorite local musicians play in parks
    - Eating every restaurant meal outside, like a dog
    - Watching "Meet The Parents" in the Rose Bowl parking lot on an inflatable drive-in screen
    - Driving my car through Six Flags Magic Mountain

    - the above post might be the strangest thing of all.

Cheers, Richard, hope you get back to logging obscure airports soonest!

I’ve gotten 3 new credits the past 2 months, so I’m finally sorta catching up to you! Lol not really, VelociCoaster today was only 499. Prior to these 3 recent credits (the other 2 were traveling carnival junior coasters), my most recent credit was
    Mystic Timbers in June 2019.

It´s my longest since I started getting back into roller coasters in 2000
or so. My last roller coaster ride was on Vortex on its closing day in
October 2019. We have very tentative plans for a road trip this summer, but
it will depend on current conditions.
