Townsquare Announces Multiple Missoula Frequency Shifts

    Posted: 17 Jun 2022 01:36 PM PDT https://radioinsight.com/headlines/229169/townsquare-announces-multiple-missoula-frequency-shifts/

The impending closing of the acquisition of Cherry Creek Media by
Townsquare Media will see multiple Missoula brands relocate to new
    frequencies.

Alternative 101.5 Alternative Missoula KAMM Frenchtown will move to 95.7
K239AP Missoula fed by an unknown HD subchannel. KAMM is being donated to Missoula Community Radio, who will move its programming from 105.5 KFGM-LP Missoula tonight.

CHR 107.5 Zoo-FM KENR Superior will move to 96.9 K245AP Missoula replacing
half of the Variety Hits Max-FM simulcast with 98.7 KHKM Hamilton. KENR is being divested to Anderson Radio Broadcasting along with Cherry Creeks competing CHR Now 106.7 KXDR Pinesdale. No plans have been announced yet
for either frequency. 98.7 KHKM is being sold to Legacy Broadcasting, which will add it to their Todays Christian Country network.

Neither shift will take place immediate as Townsquare is informing
listeners that the Alternative and Top 40 brands will be online only for a
bit as their new signals won’t be ready right away.

Townsquare Media will be adding Cherry Creeks Country 93.3 Eagle Country
KGGL Missoula, Classic Rock Z100 KZOQ-FM Missoula and Sports Griz Sports 1450/92.7 KGRZ/K224AA to Townsquares Country 94.9 KYSS-FM Missoula, Rock
96.3 The Blaze KBAZ Hamilton, Conservative Talk 930/99.7 KMPT East
    Missoula, and News/Talk 1290 KGVO/98.3 K252FP Missoula.

In addition to KAMM-FM and KHKM going to their new operators, Anderson
Radio Broadcasting will be acquiring the licenses of 106.7 KXDR, 107.5
KENR, News/Talk 1240 KLYQ Hamilton and Sports 1340 KYLT Missoula to add to their AC 99.3 The River KQEZ St. Regis.

FCC Approves Townsquare's Cherry Creek Acquisition While Townsquare Seeks
    To Retain One Additional Station

    Posted: 16 Jun 2022 03:26 PM PDT https://radioinsight.com/headlines/229029/fcc-approves-townsquares-cherry-creek-acquisition-while-townsquare-seeks-to-retain-one-additional-station/

The FCC has given final approval to Townsquare Medias $18.75 million
purchase of Cherry Creek Medias 35 stations in nine markets.

When the deal closes, one station will be temporarily left behind.
Townsquare has requested that Cherry Creeks Regional Mexican “La Super 92.5” KZHR Dayton WA remain behind at closing instead of being placed in
the Allen N. Blum led Tri-Cities Divestiture Trust that will still receive Townsquare CHR “97.5 Kiss-FM” KOLW Basin City. Townsquare states it will shortly submit a further amendment to demonstrating compliance with the
local radio ownership rule allowing it to retain KZHR along with the other stations in its soon-to-be combined Kennewick/Richland/Pasco cluster.

While awaiting that potential amendment, Cherry Creek will retain KZHR and
its employees while paying a $2500 per month fee to Townsquare for shared services including engineering, IT, traffic, accounting, website and promotions.

Townsquare is seeking to add KZHR to what will be its combined cluster of
their 97 Rock 97.1 KXRX, Hot AC 98.3 The Key KEYW, Country 102.7 KORD, News/Talk 870/98.7 KFLD and Cherry Creeks AC Mix 105.3 KONA-FM, News/Talk
610 KONA and the Pacific Northwest AG Network. The license of CHR 97.5
Kiss-FM KOLW will be moved into the Tri-Cities Divestiture Trust to be spun-off.
