WMMR Philadephia Preston Steve Show Morning Personality Kathy Romano
hosted her 13th annual Kathy’s Cuts event to benefit Wigs for Kids. The event produced 68 hair donations to benefit the non-profit organization
that helps children “look like themselves” and live their lives.

Mahone Memorial Service Set

Former RAB Executive Mike Mahone had many friends in the radio industry.
His memorial service will be Saturday, May 14 at 1 PM CDT. The service will
be livestreamed for those who are unable to attend. Mahone was 73 when he
died after a battle with pancreatic cancer. He also had Parkinson’s Disease for many years.

Bobby OJay Dead at 68

Channel 3 in Memphis is reporting that WDIA host Bobby O'Jay died while he
was at the station Tuesday morning. Midday host Bev Johnson told the
station when O’Jay would open the phone line at 9 a.m., the radio station
was only playing music.

Siegel Retires After 41 Years

Matty Siegel announced his retirement from KISS 108 in Boston this morning. He's been hosting mornings at the station for 41 years. The 72-year old
told his audience this past year has been rough for him and after
consulting with his wife and 4 kids he decided the time was right to move
on.
