Q101 Branding To Return To WKQX Chicago

Cumulus Media has acquired the intellectual property and trademarks of Q101 Chicago from Matt Dubiels Broadcast Barter Radio Networks and will restore
the to brand to Alternative 101.1 WKQX Chicago.

Broadcast Barter Radio Networks had acquired the Q101 IP when Merlin Media purchased WKQX to launch its short-lived FM News brand in 2011. They kept
the brand going as a webcaster and selling merchandise with the stations
logo.

The Alternative format relaunched on-air first as Q87.7 in May 2012 and
then made its way back to 101.1 in January 2014. Because BBRN retained the
Q101 IP and trademark, the station has been branded as 101.1 WKQX since
then.

Now the two will become one again. Vice President/Market Manager Marv Nyren told Robert Feder it took four years to reach a deal with Dubiel to
reacquire the rights to the brand.

No word yet on when the rebranding will take effect.

WTTC Relaunches As Valley 107.7

Radigan Broadcasting Group has launched Adult CHR Valley 107.7 1550
WTTC/107.7 W299CM Towanda PA.

Radigan purchased the former Oldies station along with its FM sister in a
pair of deals for $250,000. The format change was accompanied by a move of
the translators antenna to the site of Radigans Classic Hits “Choice 102” WAVR Waverly NY allowing the signal to target Waverly and Sayre PA.

WTTC will feature Compass Media Networks Anna Raven in mornings. Local
Radio Networks provides midday host Amber Kuhl and afternoon host Jeremy Robinson. G Networks Party Liveline with Mason Kelter is heard at night.

The Waverly and Sayre areas can receive CHRs from the adjacent Binghamton
and Elmira NY markets, but those stations do not target advertisers in that area.

After closing on its $25,000 purchase at the beginning of January, Paul
Izard Communications has surrendered the license of 105.9 WGWE Little
Valley NY. WGWE has been operating as Dance Energy Radio Buffalo assuming
the programming from his webcaster, which also appears defunct.

Gerald Hunt surrenders the license of 105.5 WXOQ Selmer TN. A Silent STA request in February states that the roof of the transmitter building was missing and transmission equipment then removed to prevent further damage.

The Estate of Robert Cummings Toole has turned in the license of 1400 The
Buck KBCK Deer Lodge MT. The station had been off the air since sustaining damage from a storm in August 2021.

The license of Stop the Violence / Save the Children, Incs 88.3 KPCP New
Roads LA after an FCC inquiry as to why it had been silent since February
2020 was never responded to.

The license of Call Communications 89.3 WAZQ Duck Key FL was cancelled
after being silent for over a year.
