A nice sunny morning at the club this morning Saturday 22/01/2022 and a few members on hand to do some jobs.

We first of all located the army command tent, got it out and checked it
over ready for the first SES of the year GB6IBC at the international bomber command centre. As well as sorting out a few other bits ready for the day
while the weather was so nice to work outside. 80 years of the Lancaster Bomber- Lincoln Shortwave Radio Club Family Day International Bomber
    Command Centre (internationalbcc.co.uk)

Then we put up a 12m spider beam mast on the lawn and attached the clubs
new half wave end fed that is going to replace the current doublet at the
clubs second shack at the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre East Kirkby https://www.lincsaviation.co.uk/ Stephen M5SJM did a good cowboy impression getting a rope up into a tree on the far end of the lawn to rig the other
end of the antenna too for tuning. After taking it up and down multiple
times ( you always go that little bit too far dont you), we got a good
tune on all bands of operation. So now its all ready to take to East Kirkby
and fit with hopefully just a fine tune on site.

Then Stephen M5SJM set about installing a new hard drive in one of the
clubs computers that was running a bit slow inorder to speed it up a bit.
This seems to have worked very well.

A good mornings work done with of course plenty of tea and coffee drunk and lots or radio talk.
