Matenar Ends Run on WTMJ Milwaukee

Jane Matenaer has been on Milwaukee radio since 1984. Her last day was
Friday. Matenaer began working at WTMJ-AM in 2015 after she was let go by WLDB-FM where she co-hosted mornings since 2010. Before WLDB, Matenar
worked at WMYX-FM for 25 years.

Programmer Steve Smith Passes

The 40-year programming vet unexpectedly passed away in his sleep on July
7th, according to Smith's family. Audacy COO Susan Larkin, who worked with Smith at Cox Media Group, posted on social media, "I am shocked and
saddened at the sudden passing of our friend and colleague Steve Smith. I
loved working with Steve and he was a true friend."

I watched a high rise being built near my building. Day after day for a
little more than a year, the construction was below street level, and the amount of time that went into the foundation seemed to be as much time as
went into the above ground structure. The foundation has to be solid if a building is going to reach high into the sky.
