From Kool To Hot In Palm Springs

    Posted: 21 Sep 2021 05:45 AM PDT https://radioinsight.com/headlines/213133/from-kool-to-hot-in-palm-springs/

For the second time this year Marker Broadcasting has made a format shift
on 95.9 KJJZ Indian Wells/Palm Springs.

KJJZ had flipped from Soft AC to Hot AC in March, but retained its Kool
95.9 branding. Now it has rebranded as Hot 95.9 and tweaked the music to
CHR. KJJZ retains Premiere Networks Elvis Duran in mornings and On Air with Ryan Seacrest in afternoons.

The Hot brand had been utilized in Palm Springs by Ed Stolz Hot Hits 97.7 KRCK-FM Mecca until its pending sale/LMA to Christian operator VCY America
    took effect this spring.

KJJZ held a 1.3 share in the Spring 2021 Nielsen Audio ratings. The new
format positions the station between Alpha Medias market leading duo of Rhythmic CHR U92.7 KKUU and Hot AC Mix 100.5 KPSI with a 7.7 and 6.6 share respectively.
