    CUMULUS MEDIA (NASDAQ: CMLS) has named two executives, Doug Cohn and Bruce Gilbert, to newly created positions across Music Entertainment and Sports, respectively, to lead new content development across the company’s
    platforms, including broadcasting, podcasting, streaming, social media, digital, and live events. Both Cohn and Gilbert will report to Brian
    Philips, Executive Vice President of Content and Audience.

    Emmy Award-winning music and content executive and Variety “Top 20 Influencer” Doug Cohn has been named Senior Vice President, Music Entertainment, Content and Audience. Previously at ViacomCBS, Cohn served
    as Senior Vice President, Music Talent for Nickelodeon. During his tenure,
    his strategic vision resulted in profitable growth through music streaming
    and sales, touring, and radio. Cohn started and led Nickelodeon’s music division, produced live events, and secured top talent for the network’s
    most prominent global initiatives including, Kids’ Choice Awards,
    SlimeFest, and H.A.L.O. Awards. He also developed highly rated programming
    and forged profitable partnerships between Nickelodeon and some of the world’s best-known entertainment companies such as Sony Music, AEG, and
    Live Nation. In addition, Cohn was instrumental in building and developing
    the meteoric rise of superstar JoJo Siwa for Nickelodeon, and served on the senior creative team that developed the Tony Award-winning SpongeBob SquarePants: The Broadway Musical. Doug previously spent more than a decade
    at entertainment powerhouses including Atlantic Records and VH1.

    Bruce Gilbert, a seven-year Cumulus veteran, is elevated to Senior Vice President Sports, Content and Audience, formalizing his role following consistent accomplishments leveraging the company’s massive sports
    portfolio to build compelling new franchises and successful partnerships. Gilbert has nearly four decades of industry experience with leading sports media companies including ESPN, FOX Sports, and CBS, where he developed
    deep industry and talent relationships, deal-making acumen, and
    award-winning programming and production expertise. He continues to direct
    all sports programming for Cumulus radio stations and Westwood One Sports, which also entails overseeing key partnerships with iconic brands including
    the NFL, the NCAA, the Masters, and the PGA Championship/Ryder Cup.

    WSTO Morning Hosts Depart

    Midwest Communications CHR Hot 96 WSTO Evansville IN morning hosts Claire Ballard, Tyler Cooper and Gavin Eddings have left the station.

    Ballard had hosted mornings at WSTO since October 2016 after previously
    serving as APD/afternoon host the previous year. She began her career as an intern at the station and then hosted nights from 2010 to 2013. She also
    served as APD/MD/afternoon host at iHeartMedia CHR 93.1 The Party KPLV and MD/midday host at Country 95.5 The Bull KWNR Las Vegas between stints at
    WSTO.

    Cooper joined the morning show in 2017 out of college. Eddings joined them
    in 2019 after previously working at Townsquare Medias Evansville cluster
    with three years in middays at CHR 106.1 Kiss-FM WDKS.

    Both Ballard and Cooper will be joining a local digital marketing agency. Midwest is currently seeking applicants for the morning show.

    Fox Sports Radio Launches 2 Pros and a Cup of Joe In Mornings

    Premiere Networks Fox Sports Radio launched a new morning show this morning replacing Clay Travis Outkick The Coverage following Travis move to the
    12-3pm Conservative Talk show that replaced Rush Limbaugh.

    2 Pros and a Cup of Joe will feature former NFL players Lavar Arrington and Brady Quinn alongside longtime Fox Sports Radio personality Jonas Knox.
    Knox most recently hosted Friday overnights on the network. He has been
    with Fox Sports Radio since 2011 first serving as an editor and producer
    before moving up to MMA/boxing analyst and weekend host. He also co-hosted
    the weeknight Straight Outta Vegas with RJ Bell. Arrington and Quinn both served as weekend hosts on Fox Sports Radio. Arrington has previously
    hosted afternoons at 106.7 The Fan WJFK-FM Washington DC.

    FOX Sports Radio (FSR), a division of Premiere Sports Network providing
    24/7 live programming, today announced the latest addition to its industry-leading lineup. 2 Pros and a Cup of Joe with LaVar Arrington,
    Brady Quinn and Jonas Knox will take over the network’s 6 to 9 a.m. ET weekday timeslot, effective immediately. The new program featuring
    All-American football stars and first-round NFL Draft picks Arrington and
    Quinn and FSR veteran sports personality Knox will broadcast on more than

    Alternative Soundcheck Debuts In Syndication

    Veteran Alternative programmers John Allers and John OConnell and
    promotions vet Jonathan Lev have teamed up to launch the nightly syndicated Alternative Soundcheck.

    The show will be hosted by Casey McCabe. McCabe hosted nights at CHR Amp
    97.1 KAMP Los Angeles from 2009 to 2020 and has also worked at Alternative stations 106.7 KROQ Los Angeles, X107.5 KXTE Las Vegas, and 100.9 KRZQ Reno
    in his career.

    The show debuts on Monday, September 20 on Hall Communications Alternative
    99.9 The Buzz WBTZ Plattsburgh NY/Burlington VT.


    Tonight (Monday, September 20), at 7p (Eastern), WBTZ/Burlington, VT (99.9
    The Buzz) will premiere Alternative Soundcheck, a new syndicated night show created exclusively for Alternative/Rock stations. Hosted by Casey McCabe (formerly Amp-LA, KROQ), Alternative Soundcheck is committed to

    Marketron Hit By Cyber Attack

    Marketron has informed clients that its services have been impacted by a
    cyber attack by the Russian group BlackMatter.

    The company states that all of their customers are impacted. Marketrons Traffic, Visual Traffic Cloud, Exchange, and Advertiser Portal were all impacted by the attack, while RadioTraffic and RepPak services were taken offline out of abundance of caution. They hope to have a better sense of timelines on Monday morning in terms of getting systems back online.

    Marketron states they are unsure how the hackers got into their computer systems at this time as it focuses on restoring services.
