    iHeartMedia has flipped 103.1 K276EL Austin TX from a simulcast of Sports
    1300 The Zone KVET to 1980s Hits 103.1 Austins 80s Station.

    Fed via 98.1 KVET-HD2, the new format targets Waterloo Medias market
    leading Variety Hits 103.5 Bob-FM KBPA and Austin Radio Networks Classic
    Hits 105.3 The Bat K287FG/KTXX-HD4.

    The station will also bring longtime Austin morning personality Sandy
    McIlrees syndicated The Sandy Show hosted by McIlree and his wife Tricia to
    the market. McIlree is best known for his long run co-hosting mornings at
    Hot AC Mix 94.7 KAMX with JB Hager from 1995 to 2013. The duo also hosted
    at 105.3 The Fringe as well as 100.3 KRBV Dallas, while McIlree spent time
    in mornings at WREW Cincinnati.

    Bonnevilles Arizona Sports 98.7 KMVP-FM Phoenix is revamping its on-air
    lineup starting Tuesday, September 7.

    Midday hosts Dan Bickley and Vince Marotta will move to mornings from
    6-10am. Bickley joined KMVP-FM in 2013 after a stint at iHeartMedias 910
    KGME and a long run as a sports columnist for the Arizona Republic. Marotta joined the station in 2011 and also serves as Editor of ArizonaSports.com
    and public address announcer for the NBAs Phoenix Suns. He has previously hosted at KGME and co-hosted mornings at 103.9 The Edge KEDJ from 2002 to
    2007.

    That will bring to an end the Doug Wolf show that had been heard in
    mornings since 2017. Ron Wolfley, who is also the Arizona Cardinals radio broadcast analyst, will move to 10am to 2pm where he will be teamed with current 6-8pm host Luke Lapinski as Wolf and Luke. Doug Franz will become a digital contributor on ArizonaSports.com.

    Dave Burns and John Gambadoro will remain in afternoons from 2-6pm.

    Bob Vandergrift Joins Carolina Gold As Morning Host

    Maryland Media One Oldies Carolina Gold 93.9 WMIR-FM Conway/Myrtle Beach
    and 106.3 WYAY Bolivia/Wilmington NC has announced the addition of Bob Vandergrift as morning host starting Monday, September 6.

    Vandergrift joins Carolina Gold after most recently serving as morning host
    at Soft AC Easy 105.9 WEZV Myrtle Beach. He has also programmed WBBE and
    WVMG Bloomington IL and held APD and on-air roles at WOMC Detroit, KLIO Wichita, WZLR Dayton and WBBG Youngstown. The area native began his career
    at WYAV Myrtle Beach.

    The remainder of the WMIR-FM/WYAY on-air lineup will feature Joanna
    Campbell in middays from 10-3pm, Pat Gwinn in afternoons from 3-7pm, and
    Dennis Mitchell from 7-11pm.

    Carolina Gold (WMIR-FM 93.9-Conway, SC and WYAY-FM 106.3 Boliva, NC) has
    named Bob Vandergrift as the new morning show host. Bob will host the Gold
    Wake Up Show weekdays from 6am-10am, starting Labor Day Monday, September
    6. The Gold Wake Up Show will feature local and statewide news, weather, sports, contests and exclusive local content relevant to our listeners on
    the Grand Strand and in Wilmington, NC.

    Bob is a Conway, South Carolina native and most recently hosted the morning show and was program director of Easy 105.9, serving the Myrtle Beach
    market. Bob has also worked in Wichita, Bloomington, IL, and WOMC In
    Detroit, where Bob hosted the night show and was Assistant Program
    Director. Bob is a Conway, South Carolina native. “I am beyond thrilled to join the Carolina Gold team. Thanks to Steve Clendenin and all who made it possible. Its my all-time favorite format and to get to do it in my

    Carolina Gold’s schedule will feature Bob Vandergrift 6-10am, Joanna
    Campbell 10am-3pm, Pat Gwinn 3pm-7pm and Dennis Mitchell 7pm-11pm. Carolina Gold launched on WMIR-FM 93.9, licensed to Conway, SC and serving the
    Myrtle Beach market, along with WYAY-FM 106.3, licensed to Boliva, NC,
    serving the Wilmington, NC market on May 15th and is the only station
    featuring an Oldies format in both markets. Carolina Gold focuses on music
    from the 60s, and 70s and airs a great deal of local information, such as
    news, weather, sports and community events. Both WMIR-FM and WYAY-FM is
    owned by Maryland Media One, LLC, which also owns and operates WHGM-AM and translators in the Baltimore, MD market, as well as WXJX-AM and WCNS-AM,

    SiriusXM and Halsey announced today the launch of ‘Halsey Radio,’ a limited-run channel with music hand-picked by Halsey.

    The exclusive channel will celebrate Halsey’s personal and diverse music library featuring music spanning genres from alternative to hip-hop, pop,
    rock, rhythm, blues and country. Halsey will also be showcasing their
    fourth studio album, If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power, which is scheduled to be released on Friday, August 27.

    Listeners will hear Halsey sharing behind the scenes stories while playing
    a variety of core favorites from Nine Inch Nails, Shania Twain, Alanis Morissette, David Bowie, Amy Winehouse, Nirvana, Lady Gaga and much more.

    Halsey Radio begins Wednesday, September 1, and airs through Tuesday,
    September 7, on channel 105 via satellite radios. Additionally, the
    exclusive channel will run on the SXM App through Tuesday, September 14.

    Zeke Montana Joins 106.5 The Wolf Kansas City As Morning Host

    After retiring from mornings at Steel City Media Country Q104 KBEQ Kansas
    City in October 2019, Zeke Montana has joined Audacy Country 106.5 The Wolf WDAF-FM Kansas City in the same role.

    Montana had been making regular fill-in and guest appearances at WDAF-FM
    for the past year. Now he will join Codie Allen daily in the timeslot
    replacing Joshua James. James had been serving in a fill-in capacity since
    the exit of Chris Combs in December 2019.

    Montana previously spent his entire career at KBEQ, joining the station as
    a part-timer when it was CHR in 1987 and remaining through its 1993 flip to Country. He hosted mornings from 2002 until his 2019 exit.

    KJOZ Conroe/Houston TX from Daij Media in exchange for three translators.
