The adjustment that is needed for a better swr.
I forgot to say that the antenna has magnetic mount, and it is mounted
on the roof of the car.

    What is your current SWR?

Have you lengthened or shortened it?

Is it a full 1/4 wave?

Is it working at the moment?

    What is your current SWR?
    ch 1: 1,2
    ch 40: 1,5

Have you lengthened or shortened it?

    No. Never cut it.

Is it a full 1/4 wave?
No. It is 5/8 wave. It is 1420mm long.

Is it working at the moment?
    Yes.

    Thank you for your answer.

It's not so bad, but if you see SWR lower in low channel and higher in
high channel, it means that the antenna is set for a lower channel than
the 1. You can maybe improve by shorten the strand of the antenna the
little bit (not cut) but tuck it a little bit in the base (if possible).
