    Does anybody else feel it’s a bit heavy-handed to include in this guy’s obit that he was disappointed in his children for not becoming radio
    amateurs?

    I agree it sounds a bit jarring; rather depends if it was written by one of said chiidren, or by an embittered old fellow amateur.

    well they could have ended up being forced to do it like brians weans
    then they would have totaly ignore the hobby ....being a ham is not normal
