    Radio Prague International, CZECH REPUBLIC - 5050 kHz

    At 1142 UTC on 29th December 2021, I tuned in to Radio Prague International broadcasting on 5050 kHz in the Spanish language.


    The broadcast was coming from their Okeechobee Florida 100kW transmitter.
    The overall reception of Radio Prague was fair. The signal strength was
    fair and there was a moderate amount of static crashes on the band.

    KTWR GUAM - 11965 kHz

    I then tuned in at 1054 UTC on 29th December 2021, to KTWR GUAM. They were initially broadcasting in the Sundanese language. From 1100 UTC they were broadcasting in the English language.


    The overall reception of KTWR was fair good. The signal strength was good
    and there was slight fading on the signal. There was some bleed over from Sound of Hope on 11975 kHz until 1100 UTC. After 1100 UTC there was only slight interference from the Sound of Hope.

    IBRA - Radio Sadaye Zindagi - 15490 kHz

    Next on Wednesday 29th December 2021, I tuned in to IBRA Radio Sadaye
    Zindagi broadcasting in the Dari language on 15490 kHz. This was a new station for me.


    Sadaye Zindagi means Sound of Life. The station is part of Pamir
    Ministries and has been broadcasting since 1992.
    The overall reception of Radio Sadaye Zindagi was fair. The signal
    strength was fair and there was slight fading on the signal. There was
    some bleed over from CNR1 in China on 15480 kHz.

    Adventist World Radio - Voice of Hope - 15145 kHz

    At about 0811 UTC on Wednesday 29th December 2021, I tuned in to Adventist World Radio The Voice of Hope, broadcasting in the French language on
    15.145 kHz.


    Adventist World Radio has been broadcasting since October 1971, when it commenced leasing shortwave airtime in Portugal. In 2011, during WARs 40th anniversary, they were reaching nearly 100 broadcast languages.
    Adventist World Radio website states:-
    AWR broadcasts the Advent hope in Christ through the most effective media
    to the people of the world in their own languages. Radio overcomes the
    barriers of government restrictions, cultural opposition, illiteracy, and geography.
    The broadcast was originating from AWRs Moosbrunn 300kW transmitter in
    Austria.
    The overall reception of Adventist World Radio was excellent. The signal strength was very strong and there was no fading on the signal and no interference from other stations.

    KBS World Radio, SOUTH KOREA - 9570 kHz

    Next on Tuesday 28th December 2021, I tuned in to KBS World Radio, SOUTH
    KOREA, broadcasting on 9570 kHz in the English language.


    The broadcast was coming from KBS Kimjae 100kW transmitter site. The
    broadcast included the News and the Korea 24 program.
    The overall reception of KBS was excellent. The signal strength was very strong and there was no interference from other stations. There was very little if any fading on the signal.

    CNR2 Business Radio - 9515 kHz

    At about 1223 UTC on 28th December 2021, I tuned in to China National Radio CNR2 Business Radio, broadcasting in the Chinese language on 9515 kHz.


    The broadcast was originating from the Beijing 100kW transmitter.
    The overall reception of CNR2 was excellent. The signal was very strong
    and there was minimal fading on the signal.

    Voice of the Islamic Republic of Iran - 15240 kHz

    At about 1208 UTC on Tuesday 28th December 2021, I tuned in to the Voice of
    the Islamic Republic of Iran broadcasting in the Hebrew language on 15240
    kHz.
    The broadcast was coming from their Sirjan 500kW transmitter.

    The overall reception was fair. The signal strength was fair and there was only slight fading on the signal. However, there were moderate static
    crashes on the band.

    Voice of the People, SOUTH KOREA - 4450 kHz and 3480 kHz

    On the 28th December 2021, I tuned in to the Voice of the People
    broadcasting in the Korean language on 4450 kHz. Unfortunately, just after tuning in, a jamming signal

    (siren) started up on the frequency. It was so
    loud it totally blocked out the signal from the Voice of the People.

    So I then moved to 3480 kHz where the Voice of the People was broadcasting
    and I noted that there was only minor interference a siren type noise on
    the frequency. Unfortunately, loud static crashes on the band from local storms in Australia, made listening quite difficult.

    KBS World, SOUTH KOREA - 9770 kHz

    On the 21st day of December 2021, I tuned in to KBS World Radio, SOUTH
    KOREA, broadcasting on 9770 kHz in the English language.


    The broadcast was coming from KBS Kimjae 100kW transmitter. The program consisted of music.
    The overall reception of KBS World was good. The signal strength was good
    and there was no interference from other stations. There were however
    moderate static crashes from storms in Australia, which affected listening pleasure.
