New MUF record: 70 MHz (if you're between Japan and the Philippines, that
    is).

Sisters headphones picking up my signal / RFI problem

    Posted: 04 Jun 2022 08:02 PM PDT https://www.reddit.com/r/amateurradio/comments/v54gt3/sisters_headphones_picking_up_my_signal_rfi/

I recently set up my first HF station, with an EFHW running 100W, and I
have everything grounded and am luckily receiving little noise on my
station. The only problem is my sister is able to pick me signal up on her headphones, and I have even tried mix 31 ferrite beads on the audio cable.
My headphones dont pick up anything, and Im just a bit lost on ideas.
Nothing else in our house is affected by my radio when I key up. My ground length is short, and the feedline is as well. Also just "buying new
headphones" isnt an option in this case. Perhaps we could try buying a
    shielded cable though.
TLDR; Entire transmission getting only into my sisters headphones, my
system is well grounded and we already tried 31 mix ferrite beads on her
    cable. Help! submitted by /u/Deppong69

Question on working satellites with uv-5r.

    Posted: 04 Jun 2022 08:27 PM PDT https://www.reddit.com/r/amateurradio/comments/v54uv5/question_on_working_satellites_with_uv5r/

Depending on the satellite the uplink and downlink are sometimes in
different bands. Is there a way that I can TX on 2m then RX on 70cm without manual switching between the two frequencies with the A/B button?

    Creating coverage maps

    Posted: 04 Jun 2022 06:22 PM PDT https://www.reddit.com/r/amateurradio/comments/v52t4i/creating_coverage_maps/

Just wondering how easy it would be to create coverage maps of the local repeaters? It has to be easy enough to use FCC information but I need
software. Preferably free. I did it years ago with an old HT, RF wireless headphones and even one of those tiny FM transmitters you could power from
a 9V battery but for the life of me I cant remember what site. Website or Android app suggestions yall? submitted by /u/KC8UOK
