    Hey, does anyone know what UV-5R and other BaoFeng model numbers stand for?
    My best guess is ultra-high frequency/very-high frequency, but not sure on
    the 5R.
    Feel like the BF in BF-F8 is probably named after the company, but no
    guesses on the 8H.
    I know model numbers arent usually a science, but Im just curious. Cant
    seem to find any answers online. submitted by /u/northaugust
