Can't connect to pi-star MMDVM with FT2D, but can with FT3D

Hey all, Ive been trying to connect to a MMDVM running pi-star with my
FT2D, but just cant seem to get it to work. The MMDVM wont show that it received anything from my call sign. My dad, who has a FT3D, can connect to
it however and looking through the menus on both radios the settings seem
to be identical. Ive made sure Im transmitting in DN, tried both channels A
and B, reset everything, checked my call sign, made sure that there was no repeater offset (the MMDVM is running simplex), you name it. I can confirm
that transmitting in digital does work on the radio. Nothing has gotten it
to pick up on the gateway though. Im not sure what the source of the issue
is so I have no idea what to check or which settings to share. Any ideas on what to do?
