A very cold and foggy morning at the club today 15/01/2022. While the less hardy members retreated to the shack a group of members helped Daron 2E0GFY
to finish and tune the 20m and 17m flower pot antennas he has made to use
for small footprint portable operation with a 12m fiberglass pole and a car drive on mount. Ready for operation when he is out with the clubs portable group. Members braving the cold and working on the antennas were Daron
2E0GFY, Andy M0IYE, Les G1LBQ, Steve M5ZZZ, and David M6OYN. As a test
call David M6OYN worked into Slovenia 59 on his 10w, two antennas now
working really well. Just the thing the club is there for, so as members
can help each other out. Thanks to Daron for bringing an interesting
project to get on with on an otherwise grim day.




In other news the international bomber command centre has started to
advertise the special event station the club is running there on March the
5th. Much more to follow on this nearer to the time .80 years of the
