Back on the 30th of October 2021, there was a nice TEP opening on the new
40 MHz band between South Africa and Spain.
Joan, EA3ERE reports that he heard the ZS6WAB beacon on 40.675 MHz using an ICOM IC-7300 and a dipole for the HF bands. The distance was almost 8000kms. Joan kindly sent on a video of the reception and it's shown below...
