Crich Stand Visit - 9th October 2021

Saturday field day at Crich was another enjoyable day attended by 10 club members.

26 contacts were made on 2mtrs simplex, the furthest by Ray M0TVX to the
Isle of Wight.

HF was again challenging due to a combination of Contests & a report of RF feedback on our signal whilst using our usual vertical antenna / coax.
However Dave 2E0 FUO came to the rescue with his Diamond Verical & we were
able to keep a scheduled QSO with Malcolm VE9ZY in Canada who spoke to
Dave, Ray, Lyn & myself on 15mtrs after problems With QRM on 20 mtrs.

Andy Dykes M1CWV

We have received the sad news that Andy Dykes M1CWV has become silent key
after a 3 year struggle with Cancer.

Andy had been a member of the club for many years; He lived in Huthwaite
with his dad on Blackwell Rd then moved to Derby with his partner, Anne
Green 26 years ago

The funeral is at Markeaton Crematorium, Derby on Thursday 21 October
@2.30pm.

Our thoughts are with his family at this time.

Crich Stand Visit - Saturday 28th August

It was a beautiful Saturday at Crich Stand, weather was sunny and hot. We
had another great day on 2m FM with 43 contacts made.
