Ethiopia broadcasting in the Amharic language on 7110 kHz.

The overall reception of Radio Ethiopia was good.

Radio Free North Korea - 9910 kHz

At about 1320 UTC on Saturday 5th February 2022, I tuned in to Radio Free
North Korea broadcasting in the Korean language on 9910 kHz.


This was a new station for me.
The Free North Korea Radio website states:-
Since 2006, Free North Korea Radio has broadcasted into North Korea. Voiced
and produced by North Korean defectors now living in South Korea, we
broadcast news, information, and hope into North Korea.
The broadcast was coming from the Tashkent 100kW transmitter.
The overall reception of Radio Free North Korea was fair-poor. There was
a jamming signal on the frequency and this severely affected listening pleasure.

The broadcast was coming from CRIs Baoji-Xinjie 150kW transmitter.
The overall reception of CRI was good.

At about 1215 UTC on Saturday 5th February 2022, I tuned in to Radio Marti broadcasting in the Spanish language on 5980 kHz.


The broadcast was coming from Radio Martis Greenville 250kW transmitter.
The overall reception of Radio Marti was fair good. At 1230 UTC Radio
Marti was totally wiped out by Vatican Radio broadcasting on the frequency
in the Chinese language.

The broadcast was coming from WWCRs Nashville 100kW transmitter.
The overall reception of WWCR was good. There was interference on the frequency from PBS Xizang broadcasting in the Chinese language.

At about 1059 UTC on 1st February 2022, I tuned in to KBS World Radio,
SOUTH KOREA, broadcasting on 7275 kHz in the Korean language.


The broadcast was coming from the KBS Kimjae 250 kW transmitter. The
broadcast audience was in East Asia and South-East Asia.
The overall reception of KBS was good. The signal strength was excellent,
but there appeared to be some form of jamming signal on the frequency.
