  • What happened to Skylighter?

    Went to Skylighter's website to check on prices for ti sponge. Found maybe 10 items in stock. It might be a new site and haven't got all online yet. Been away for awhile and maybe government got even more restrictive with chemicals. I have 2-4 lbs -20
    mesh. Just trying to get a price check on isle 5.

    Skylighter is closing up shop. Harry couldn't find a buyer, so he's going out of business.
    It's sad, but if there's a market, and any money to be made in it, someone will step up and fill the demand.

    Maybe you need to check out fireworks
    Cookbook dot com for your chemical needs.
    They have a large selection of high quality chemicals at decent prices, cheaper than skylighter.

    Harry did find a buyer, very late in the process. Based in Calif. I'm eager to find out Harry's new venture. He wanted to sell something that Facebook, etc. wouldn't censor.

    Out of business. Harry, in my experience, was a total creep. I would not trust him for one second, and it would not surprise me at all if he allowed potentially dangerous materials and information to fall into the hands of unqualified people.

    Indeed, Mike Gerson resurrected Skylighter as is restocking everything as we speak. Mike is moving it from Virginia to California and will save the entire archives.

    Moving to California puts him within the State Firemarshal's jurisdiction.I would think that is a risky move for someone planning on selling pyro supplies.
