• Apple runs up against Samsung patent, but OLYMPUS did this first

From RichA@21:1/5 to All on Fri Sep 3 21:14:59 2021
A vertical lens system with a right=angle mirror. Olympus did this in the E-330 camera, but not a phone. However, the part in the lens system called a ball acuator is what Samsung has patented.

So, pay Samsung a licensing fee or change the design.

Apple rent in RichA's head: big.

As to the E-330, unless there's another model E-330, then you're not off
the mark, you're waaaaaaaay off the mark.

The E-330 used a reflex finder assembly. But the path was a right-angle, much like what is proposed for smartphones.

That's not even what is at issue with the patent. The issue is the
    actuator used.

Instead of letting Apple have free rent in your head, maybe you should
get "on the ball" and actually read the article you're linking to.
