Couldn't find a FAQ. Mailing lists? Interested in learning more about cameras no longer in production (as I've tried to glean off this
thread): ie, a way to get into Contax/Zeiss on a grad student budget.

Try Youtube. Most of the Contaxs are featured there. Will give you an overview. A fairly cheap but quality alternative is the 139Quartz...great camera, almost fully manual if you want it to be, and very reliable without the built-in power wind. I
