Rock'n'roll Pudding Pie!
The most infamous music video for one of the
greatest and
oldest of pop songs is an outgrowth of a long-
running
tradition that traces back to the early days of
MTV. In
the late 1990s, a band of aspiring rockers decided
to
take on a pop anthem at a party and sing "Smokin'"
to it.
It may not be the one everyone's thinking of, but
it's
the one I think of the most. It's an homage to an
old MTV
movie (and the band's "Smokin'" single off of it) ?
an
almost unpronounceable rock song with no actual
lyrics at
all. The video is a mash-up of the old '90s video
and the
new movie theme, with all of their weirdness thrown
into
it to make it sound authentic. And as you can see,
even
when they're not totally clear in how they're doing
it,
they still manage to find fun and weird and crazy
and
weirdly weird and crazy in the lyrics.

The reason Bozo cannot figure out how to get Google to keep from
breaking its lines in inappropriate places is because Bozo is > CLUELESS...
