They carefully leave a note for others on where they are headed, then
go to check Mustafurra's homeland in Egypt. They have only 6 days.
They flit by the famous Spinx and look over the human stone burial
places of fame, then head to a sort of villa just off the Nile.
Landing, Luko shyly checks his fur. He wants to make a good
impression on these sleek cats even though he's overly fluffy in
comparison to them. Afterall, he's a mere 'Ragdoll' with pretty long
fur and they are sleek, with short hair though Mustafurra's is a bit
longer as she's an Egyptian Mau.
Stepping out, they see a delightful courtyard with many plants and a
small internal pond in the courtyard, with fish and large waterlilly
plants. To the side, is a large open kitchen on a stone floor about 4
inches up. She explains it doesn't rain much but if it does a lot at
the source of the Nile, then they need the extra few inches.
It is lovely, serene, and a bit boring if you wanted more than napping
though they have plenty of mouse hunting. Water sports aren't likely
due to the crocodiles.
They decide to try to find 'Catafornia' and 'a meowmie' texts back a
map but doesn't know where the spot mentioned is. She does put a
pointer in Catalina which seems possible?
Luko and friend update the note on where to find them, then head for Catalina.

Arriving at Catalina, they find a secluded cove with a small beach and
lots of native American art hidden away in the thick trees. A small
game trail leads to a pool and above it, carved into the rock, is a
cat peering into the pool, with a paw reaching down as if to catch a
fishie.
To the side is what appears to be an old rock lined fire pit, unused
for many ages. They check it out then see a small rock shelf that
used to have a wood extension to make a shelter. With a little help,
it could be cleared. They set to work with Luko clearing the fire
pit and Mustafurra snagging some palm fronds and weaving them to
extend the canopy.
They chatter that they need rope and the portable kitchen but need
some help too.
They decide to go back with the list, unaware curious local kitties
and a stray male Opposum named Dandy-foot was watching. They caught
on that this may be the famous Jellicle Ball! Dandy runs off and
grabs his mate and kids, calling back that they will clear the old
shelter roof wood out while the others scamper to get
reinforcements....

locals arrive back. They are a mixed crew of species, but the cats are
mostly abandoned by vacationers or the sundry offspring of those
kittens left behind.
Milltoes (a mole) isn't sure how he got there and wishes there was a
female there, but he's really good at digging, asks if one of the sharp
eyed folks can mark where he should dig a post hole for the shelter? A vulture with the unlikely name Prettyboy, measures it off then with his strong beak, marks the spot, then walks along and marks the next spot
until he has 4 post holes marked. His mate Chicaww guides Milltoes
about as he swiftly digs them.
Kitties clear the firepit and replace the few stones that were out of
line due to time's efforts.
Starting at the same time are others locals who are clearing the spot
where the canopy will be lifted over until it is mostly even packed
down ferns.
Prettyboy and Chicaww gather wood from about the island and set it to
the side for a very nice bonfire. They also sight several nice fallen saplings for posts.

right over here (points to a path that is all ferns and soft walkable
things, not too steep). Wez thinks it was native Americans who layed
it anna the only spots a little steep has stepping stones. Den behind
the waterfall where it's dry anna out to da spot wez was working?
About 15 minutes fur a 4foot just walking slowish.
Dunno about a zoo! Dats sad.. Shaking it off, Mustafurra says hello
to the Grande Poobah with a formal curtsy and a happy winkle in her
eyes. She's a silver Mau and her face fur colorings make her look lke
she has old time egyptian eyemakeup on and a scarub in her forhead.
Black dots along her body.
Taking off, they make the short walk and rounding out from the
waterfall, they stop to stare!
The final of 4 poles is going up for the pavillon. 2 Turkey Vultures
using vines are lifting the tops of the sapling which is held in place
at the bottom, then dropped in the post hole. The path to the beach
has been widened and a small but suitable floating pier has been made.
To the left, a patch of trees which were sparsely placed, now have a
vine support for a woven mat. A Family of Opossums are bringing over
bundles of reeds which cats are weaving to mats for roofing.
One of them sees the little group and comes over smiling, eying the
ladies with a slightly rougish grin and high-5'ing Luko with a tail
bump. 'Hi, I'm Rover. Odd name for a cat but I like to rove! Welcome
ladies and gent, to Catalina!
He happily shows off what they have done which is quite a lot! There's
now soft woven fern cushions stacked around for sitting or napping on.
By the bonfire pit, is a large stack of small logs and large sticks,
broken to suitable sizes. There's clearing suitable for tents or
camping shelters and another for a portable kitchen. The hasty roof
betwwen the trees could shelter a boutique? They didn't find a way to
get any electricity here, but there is a waterfall...
Big signs mark the beach plus buoys out in the water 'protected beach, endangered seals'. 2 seals are sunning on the portable pier while a
baby Opossum and a baby seal play in the shallows and catch fingerling
fish. Momma seal is also watching out for the little Opossum, knowing
they are excellent swimmers but not strong enough for riptides which
this area is prone to. (In fact, that is why this little spot was left
alone by humans). The seals find cats amusing to watch and as playful
as they are.
After looking about, Luko and Mustafurra look to P2nya to see if it is
an acceptable start? If so, they want to know where the ball room is?
