damn well figure out a way to get to a doctor/hospital, wouldn't you?
Every minute that you put off getting this baby treated is another minute
he has to suffer in pain and agony.
It's now been over 3 hours since you posted your plea for help. I
certainly hope that by now you've gotten him the medical attention he
needs.

Hello, I've never been to this newsgroup before, so do please excuse me

in the wrong place; I'm just in a rush right now. My dog got ahold of my >budgie and the bird (kiwi) seems to have broken his left leg. I can't
get to a
vet right now, and am searching the web for any info on how to help him
in the
meantime. Does anyone here have any experience with this? I'd welcome

advice, even if to point me to a different newsgroup, etc. The vets I called
for advice all say they'd have to see him to help...but I can't GO
anywhere
right now! Arrgh! Right now Kiwi is in a shoebox with some cotton
batting to
lie on, and has some food and water. He still can fly, but his leg just lies
out to the side; he won't put any weight on it. Thanks in advance for

suggestions...
