would we want to sell SPR oil to any country, much less China? I'm

things much worse than hair sniffing or in his son's case, cocaine sniffing.

LOL I love it! You're a champion of manufactured outrage. This is yet more political smoke that has no hope of becoming a law.

So, have you stopped sending money to China so they can buy that special oil? Are we at war with China? They're an important trading partner. Have we stopped all trade with them? Is all of our oil special or is it just the oil the government owns?
We sell a lot of oil and LNG or the world market. China has been buying about 7% of that. I'll bet the oil industry would put a quick stop to that nonsense if they were trying to stop all oil exports to China. Now that we own it they probably don't care
if we ever sell any of what the public owns to anyone.

OH MY GAWD, NO! Not our sacred oil reserve. We could all shrivel up into a tiny ball and die. ROFLMAO

"The US made $4 billion selling oil this year on President Biden's unprecedented releases from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve"

"The US government has pocketed a roughly $4 billion windfall from sales of crude this year out of the Strategic Petroleum Reserve.

In the week ending December 9, the US released about 4.7 million barrels of crude, and the Energy Department has said it will conclude deliveries this month.

Since President Joe Biden tapped into the reserves in March — just after Russia's invasion of Ukraine — the US has sold 180 million barrels of crude at an average price of $96.25 per barrel, per The Wall Street Journal.

Brent crude, the international benchmark, is hovering around $80 a barrel, as of Monday. West Texas Intermediate is trading at roughly $75 a barrel.

The White House has said that it plans to start buying oil for the SPR when US crude price hit $70-$75 per barrel.

Last week, the Energy Department solicited bids for 3 million barrels to be delivered in February to its Texas storage facility.

Yet officials also said that the administration isn't rushing to completely top off crude reserves, which are now at about 382 million barrels, because current levels remain high enough to endure any supply shocks.

A senior administration official told the Journal that the Energy Department has the latitude to wait for lower market prices before it begins buying up oil to refill the SPR, and said that the process could take years."

OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD! 4.7 MILLION BARRELS OF CRUDE--"BLACK GOLD-TEXAS TEA"-SOLD OFF FOREVER AND WE ONLY HAVE 382 MILLON BARRELS LEFT! HOW WILL WE EVER SURVIVE?" BIDEN *MUST* BE INSANE!

Considering the source of this nonsense, do you think, maybe, just maybe, the oil industry thinks this is a great idea. Who knows? The government could turn a profit on the deal. That would be just terrible.
