I love this grift. #45 is selling almost nothing for $99 a pop. Limited edition digital trading cards. Hey, this is even better than
hard copy baseball cards and just in time for Christmas. There will
only be 45,000 digital cards in the initial offering and they're sure
to sell out fast. You can sell your cards for whatever the market will
bear. #45 only takes 10% off the top of those sales. Everyone will be
making tons of money on this. And you can win prizes too!

damn. That's literally tacky, but maybe I should buy some anyway, and
it's uniquely possible I could make a profit in a few years by promoting
them in the context of Before-The-Spaghetti-Stuck cards.

Tacky is one of its best features. And you could hit it lucky if
you get one of the early one of kind cards. When you sell it for a
zillion bucks #45 will only get 10% of that. This beats owning a
gambling casino all to hell.
To keep it legal you can request a free entry in the YUGE sweepstakes. You might win dinner with the idiot and a few hundred
other people.
The only price you would pay would probably be a yuge
flood of #45 related email. Who knows? Pretty soon he could be selling
NFT steaks and Ginsu knifes. The sky is the limit.

:-) I think we're a long way from the "last" opportunity. P.T. Barnum would be proud of this guy. I'll bet his family will be selling

That thought is likely to occur to a lot of celebrities and hucksters.
Some of them have already gotten a head start.

A class action lawsuit was filed against Yuga Labs, the parent company
of Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), on Friday, in which investors claimed
the company didn’t disclose celebrities’ alleged involvement in
promoting and selling NFTs (non-fungible tokens).
The lawsuit, seen by Gizmodo, named celebrities who were reportedly used
to increase revenue by “billions of dollars” that were generated by
their endorsements. The plaintiffs, Adonis Real and Adam Titcher claim
the campaign artificially inflated the interest and price of BAYC,
“causing investors to purchase these losing investments at drastically inflated prices.”
Real and Titcher filed the lawsuit last week and are seeking monetary
damages for themselves and others affected by the alleged scheme.
Guy Oseary, a talent manager for stars including Madonna and U2, is
named as the primary defendant in the lawsuit. Oseary is a partner in
Yuga Labs and is allegedly heavily involved in managing many of the celebrities who promoted BAYC NFTs.
According to the lawsuit, Oseary “entirely manufactured” a front operation of MoonPay, of which he is an investor, to promote and sell
digital assets. MoonPay is a crypto payment platform that acts as a
mid-way service for celebrities’ NFT transactions.
The lawsuit claims BAYC relied “heavily on the perception that ‘joining the club’ (i.e., buying a BAYC NFT) brings investors status and provides them access to events, benefits, and other lucrative investment
opportunities exclusive to BAYC holders.”
The lawsuit continued, adding, “The exclusiveness of BAYC membership was entirely based on the inclusion and endorsements of highly influential celebrities.”
The lawsuit names Gwyneth Paltrow, Paris Hilton, Jimmy Fallon, Kevin
Hart, Serena Williams, DJ Khaled, and others—amounting to a total of 37 defendants as part of the purported involvement in BAYC and for
“promoting and selling a suite of digital assets.” The lawsuit adds, “at
no point did any of the defendants register these securities with the SEC.”
BAYC is comprised of more than 10,000 NFTs of cartoon monkeys in
different outfits and its cheapest NFT is valued at around $88,000,
according to CNET. Its value makes BAYC one of the most successful and exclusive NFT art collections.

When you think about it, $99 a pop is actually pretty cheap. They have to come up with thousands of unique and artistic trading cards. At
most there are only 20 copies of a single trading card. So they're
averaging less than $2,000 of revenue for each of these artistic images
of #45 and they have to pay the "artists" out of that.
"Trump’s Badly Photoshopped NFTs Appear to Use Photos From Small
Clothing Brands"
"Betcha couldn’t get enough of this mug, huh? Only thing is, this
photoshop job seems to be very haphazardly edited using images taken
directly from the internet.
Over the last 24 hours, fans of ex-President Donald Trump have sat
huddled in their chairs, waiting with bated breath for a supposed announcement the once tweeter-in-chief promised would blow their socks
off. He posted a video to his Truth Social page showing an image of him
in a kind of superhero garb, sporting pecs he most certainly does not
have, as laser beams shoot from his eyes. What could this mean? What apocalypse was coming?
On Thursday the grand surprise was finally revealed and it was nothing
but another horrific NFT project that, in Trump’s words, featured “amazing ART of my Life & Career!” These “digital trading cards” are indeed just another cash grab NFT project, but the low quality images
and the company in charge of the project are a more complicated enigma.
Each NFT sells for a total $99, and some are limited as single copies,
while other NFTs are available in two, five, seven, or 10 copies. There
are a total of 45,000 cards in the initial release, but even more, one
big fan of Mr. Trump will be “guaranteed” a ticket to some future gala dinner with him, ostensibly at his Mar a Lago residence in South
Florida. The auction even promised to pay for transportation. So yes,
spend $4,455 and you too can have a sit down with the former president himself. Although we can guarantee you he will not look nearly as slim
as he does in these trading cards.
The images were so lazy that based on reverse image searches they were
edited photos scraped off the internet. It’s unclear if they were edited
by hand or perhaps crafted using AI image generation, though the one
image of Trump in hunter garb bears a very distinct resemblance to
waders crafted by Banded, a hunting apparel company."

"Trump's NFT Rollout Went Exactly as You'd Expect"
"But it didn't end there. There are also a number of scammy “terms and conditions” and clarifications.
Wall noted that after finally accessing his NFT card (a kind of 8-bit rendering of Trump being rained on by gold bars) he read in the small
print that the promised chance at “dinner with Trump” was actually a Trump “gala dinner” (i.e. fundraiser), and the “Zoom call with Trump”
was actually a “group Zoom call.” The word “won” in the sentence “you
have won a 20-minute group Zoom call” referred to a footnote detailing further nuances: “Subject to validation and eligibility verification; screenshots are not proof of winning.”
Elsewhere, blockchain sleuths who looked more closely at the
Polygon-based mint itself noted that the launch address also pre-minted
a hefty portion of the rarest NFTs in the collection, apparently keeping them for the project's own benefit."

Interesting Trump NFT admin wallet pre-minted 1000 (2%) but has 25% of
the 1/1s and 33% of the autographs. Go Trump go."
